A work in progress

Those of you who know me know I LOVE photography. I'm a sucker for it and I even considered going to school for it... that didn't pan out but I still like to think I have some skillz! :) Anyways, for my bday this year Mom & Dad got me an AWESOME camera and so I decided I was going to take Cooper's 6 month pictures... here is the work in progress. After literally 158shots, I think I got a few good ones! haha poor kid. What'dya think??!

So there it is, I updated my blog. Are you happy now Kim? Sheesh.

Matt is so proud...

Last Sunday marked a huge milestone in Cooper's life... one that Matt will soon not forget... We took our first trip to Cabela's as a family!!!

Mom & Dad invited us to go along and Matt was instantly "Oh, OK!" He was so excited to show his son all the cool hunting stuff and teach him about one of his favorite past times! Here are some pictures of the blessed event.

Dad snapped this one for me... they were having fun!

Matt showing Cooper a carp (and how it was bigger than the bass) HAHA

I enjoyed myself too - I dressed Cooper up with all sorts of things! Good times.

Matt & Cooper watching a hunting video... this stopped when the turkey's head got shot off!

Overall, a great day. Thanks for taking us along Mom & Dad!

A little behind... but some great memories!!

Hi! I'm a little out of the blogging loop at the moment... about 3 blogs behind to be exact, so watch for those coming up in the next couple days! Maybe I'll even do 2 in one day??!? It's unheard of! Anyways, last weekend (like weekend of March 6) we had a crazy weekend.

First, Matt's parents & I have been conspiring for about 2 months to surprise him for his birthday! They drove up, got here Friday around noon and we went in and surprised him at work! Little did he know that I had already arranged for him to have that afternoon off, so we had some great quality time to spend with his family! We hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving, it was beyond due time!

What I was really excited about was that it worked out that we could get Cooper dedicated that Sunday so all of his grandparents were able to be there for this amazing occasion!!
...but what would a baby dedication weekend be without a trip to the ER? That's right folks, trip #2. This time, for 102.5* fever & pneumonia! Sheesh. This kid did NOT want to get dedicated. Too bad for him, we did it anyway! He's doing much better these days, just has that nagging cough which we hope doesn't last too long!

When the weekend was over, we were thankful for our family & friends who were able to celebrate with us!

My niece... the stinker!

The other day I came into work for a half day, so at noon I dropped off Cooper at Doretta’s. Well, Addison For those of you who don’t know, she’s a little yacking machine! But we really have to work at her to say Amber, at least when I’m around. Kim says she can say it, but I have yet to see that happen. Stinker. was there so she came over, gave me a huge hug and I asked her to show Doretta how she can say my name!

So after a few tries she thought it was absolutely hilarious and was just laughing at me for trying to get her to say it… I told her I’d even take “Ambo”, but I got nothin’! She just laughed… again. Next thing you know, she looks at me, puts her tiny hand up and says “ska-doosh” (think Kung-Fu Panda). Wow – I see where I stand!

Don't worry, this isn't the first encounter with a Huffman child giving me crap... she get's it VERY honestly from her older siblings... and parents! :) I love them all to pieces!!

Tour-o-Indy

Matt & I just got back from a great weekend in Indy!! We had a great time, saw family and lots of great friends. Here are some pictures from our tour-o-Indy!

Friday night we stayed at mamo Evelyn & Jerome's house in Plainfield! It was great to see them... Evelyn saw Cooper when he was about 3 days old and Jerome hadn't met him yet!

Saturday we woke up and headed to Butler for their last regular season game against Cleveland State (PS - we WON!!! Yea!) We saw my cousin Ashley, Tilynn and Uncle Derald & Aunt Cindy before the game, met up with our good friends Jen & Ben at the bookstore because we were sitting together, then at the game met up with Jen's parents, Rick & Betsy (B-Dub!!), my college roomie Talia and also saw Courtney & Troy and Court's grandparents!!!! It was a crazy-busy 2 hours, but we squeezed it all in! Cooper even managed to get a nap during the game, despite the deafening cheers every 2 minutes.

Afterwards, Jen, Ben, Talia, Matt, Cooper & me headed to PF Changs for an early dinner/late lunch. Here's Cooper with Talia! Man I miss this girl like crazy! We had some crazy/fun times rooming together... ahh the memories.

After eating, we headed back to Jen & Ben's (in Pendleton) for the rest of the evening - filled with a baby bath and a whole lotta euchre!!!
Jen & Ben have a boxer, Samson, who Cooper just fell in LOVE with! These are all pictures from this morning, Cooper was in a great mood and wanted that dog in front of him at all times!
"Come on Samson let me pet you!"
Puppy kisses!
LOVE this picture. He wasn't sure about Samson's big wet nose being on his face!

Cooper wanted to kiss the puppy!

Thanks for letting us crash your house Jen & Ben!!! We love you!
