Your challenge... if you choose to accept it...

Ok, so Matt & I are having an ultrasound May 1 (a week from Thursday) and we are REALLY hoping our little one cooperates and lets us look at it's privates! :) We are always looking for ideas on names for this child because it's really hard for us to agree on anything. So here's my thought... I thought I'd conduct a little challenge. This is a 2-part challenge.

1. Guess what we are having
2. Share some names with us - we're always looking for name ideas (in the gender you guess of course!)

Ok, so the 2nd one really isn't a challenge, it's just for fun! I love seeing everyone's name ideas.

Back to the challenge: for a little incentive, for everyone who guesses part 1 correct, I'll draw 2 names out of a hat or basket (whatever I have lying around) and I'll bake you cookies!!!

Here are the facts so far... at our 7 week ultrasound, the heartbeat was around 152; at our 12 week appointment, the heartbeat was at 150 and at our 16 week appointment the heartbeat was at 160! Oh, and if you look at the right side of this page, you'll see our little jelly bean's first picture! :)

After the ultrasound, I'll let ya'll know what we're having, etc. (as long as the little one cooperates). So let's all pray for a very healthy, cooperative baby on May 1!

Check it out!!!! Ok, so this was the night that the installation was complete, so you may see a few lingering tools here and there, but overall, you get the idea - the floor is DONE!!! Doesn't Matt rock?

The living room - nice air compressor on the right side huh? Matt was using it with his brad nailer (woohoo) to put on the rest of the base board! If you look really close on the couch, you'll see our baby Charlie passed out! He had a rough day helping Matt with the floor :) And also, if you look closer at the black mass on the couch - that's Vince! All grown up and just chillin' out.

Since these photos were taken (last Wednesday night), Matt's sister, Kelly, her husband, Tony and their son Drew came to visit and left yesterday! We love when they come see us - it stinks having close family living in North Carolina, but we love any time we get with them! Also, Matt is currently in Connecticut for laser training for a new "laser" L&W has on order and will soon have! How fun! I love talking about the "laser" - it makes me think of Dr. Evil in Austin Powers and makes me laugh - or maybe I'm easily amused... who knows!?! Hope everyone is well and had a great, relaxing spring break and have been able to easily adjust back to your daily lives! Until next time...

Ok, for REAL, maybe Spring is close?

So I'm sitting here looking outside, listening to the weather - they actually talked about possibly SNOW showers today? Are ya kidding me?! This is ridiculous - it's the middle of April and my little daffodils are starting to bloom. Seriously, little ms. Mother Nature needs to stop PMSing and get back on schedule... now.

In other news :) Matt & I had our 16 week appointment about a week & 1/2 ago and the baby is strong and healthy! Apparently, when we were listening to the heartbeat, the baby was moving like CRAZY! But we did hear the heartbeat - it's up to 160 and it has gotten SO much louder, I couldn't believe it! I have it on my cell phone if anyone wants to hear it :) It's so cool. I also started feeling the baby move over the last week and I tell you what, we got a mover on our hands! On Thursday this week, I could have sworn that the baby was trying out for the circus or something - crazy thing. May 1 is our official ultrasound date!!! We are so excited to see our baby and to see that everything is OK. And for all who are wondering, yes, we will be finding out what we're having and yes, I will tell everyone! But, you won't find out the name until September :) That's a secret!

In other news - I was in Florida for a long weekend with my mom, sisters, ethan & addison! We had a lot of fun even though the first day Katy & I got completely fried - we decided that these babies made us way sensitive to the sun and we looked like lobsters. I got back on Monday and have already mostly peeled! Craziness! So much for keeping that tan for more than a week. Besides the burn, we had a lot of fun and had some great relaxation time by the pool- much needed.

On a final note, if you read my mom's blog (Willy & Sarah's Adventures), you know her last blog was about my puppy Sammy (13 year old puppy) who had to have surgery on his butt to have his tail amputated (and looked completely retarded)... well, about a week later, we noticed that he was going downhill, very quickly - Mom saw that he hadn't eaten or drank anything for about a week and was really worried - she took him to the vet and he was severely dehydrated, had an infection, was non-responsive, etc... we had to put him down last week - Wednesday, April 2. Sammy has been my puppy since I was 12, so this has been a really tough time for the family. I'm doing OK because I know that he was not well and his time was coming, but it's still not fun to lose a pet.
