The Florida Adventure

Yes, I think Adventure is the best word for our Florida trip. My friend Jeni & I along with our munchkins (Cooper - 8 months & Alyah - 6 months) journeyed to Florida by ourselves for a week! Here's how it went:

We had a TON of stuff. For each of us, the count was: 1 baby, 1 stroller, 1 car seat, 1 diaper bag, 1 purse and 2 pieces of luggage. We were NUTS! We made it there and back with only minor glitches!

We got to Florida late Saturday night, then had to get a car and drive an hour to the condo. Not too bad because it was WAY past the kiddos' bedtimes, so they were nice & quiet the whole car trip down!
What we didn't realize when we booked the tickets that we were going to be gone over Mother's Day... so we took ourselves out!
Cooper & Alyah played very well together! It was amazing how much they were already fighting over toys... haha!
We took lots of walks along the shoreline with the kiddos in tow! Just call us Super Moms!
Cooper & Alyah LOVED playing in their walkers. Cooper thought it'd be fun to play bumper-walkers and run as fast as he could into Alyah, because she wasn't quite able to make it move and apparently was an easy target. They were so funny!
For the beach adventures, we got a little cabana for the kiddos! This was pre-passout... they played for a bit then had a nice long nap so the mommies could sun bathe!

We also got to spend some good quality time at the pool!
Cooper & Alyah thought the ocean was pretty cool!
Cooper enjoyed the sand (he even had a couple bites of it in true boy fashion!)... Alyah on the other hand, was not so much impressed.
The day before we left Mom, Katy & Tristan joined us at the condo! Sorry Mom & Katy, your pictures didn't make it :)
Cooper & Tristan were playing like crazy!
Cooper thinks now that he is able to crawl (for all of 2 days) that he should now be able to stand & walk... so much for a transitional period for us to adjust to his mobility...

We had a great time with Jeni & Alyah!

Now the rest of these pictures are just for the pure enjoyment of seeing how cute our munchkins are! haha - Enjoy!

It's Cooper's world...

So our little guy (now nicknamed "95 sideways" - inside joke ::ahem:: Virgin Gorda plane) is moving a million miles an hour these days. Here's what Cooper's busy world has consisted of lately:

...he popped his first tooth! If you make the picture bigger you may be able to actually see it. It's in the center bottom right - if you're looking at the picture... big stuff!...
...hanging with the boys. (Note Dad's ding-dong & milk) HAHA...
...contemplating the meaning of life while enjoying the outdoors...
...and of course strengthening his friendships along the way...

this picture makes me gag & laugh at the same time. it looks SO WEIRD!

So that's what we've been up to (and by we I mean Cooper - he rules our world). Coming up on Saturday - my friend Jeni & I are flying with our munchkins (Cooper - 8 months, Alyah - 6 months) to Florida all by ourselves! It should be a crazy/interesting/fun/relaxing/busy time. We're pumped and cannot wait to see how we get through the airports, just us, and the babies... we shall see! Hopefully I'll have some good pictures to share while we're away.

What have you been up to lately? I know Mom hasn't been blogging much (love you mom!)... but besides that, whatcha been doin?
