"Matt-Gyver"

So those of you who know my husband might not be totally new to the idea of Matt calling himself "Matt-Gyver" at times because he loves to rig stuff, like his hero, you guessed it... MacGyver! (Not to mention Jack Bauer and the Willy dog!)

So the other night, Cooper was in the spare room on the bed playing with his toys that Matt was holding up for him to grab and the ideas started to brew...


Before I knew it, this is what I found... the toy basket, my tote of Christmas stuff and our dog gate rigged up with half of all Cooper's toys hanging from it! Matt was pretty proud of himself! (and then wondered if he was going to make the blog! haha - of course honey) :) Love you!!

Either way, Cooper was perfectly content. He had his toys, they were at his fingertips AND both Mommy & Daddy were in the room, taking pictures and playing! He was a happy little boy!


Ok, this has nothing to do with "Matt-Gyver" but here is Cooper's first shampoo mohawk! haha - you have to look really close because it only worked on like 5 hairs in the front... but I sure had a good time trying!

What we've been up to...

I promised a new blog, so here I am! We've had a crazy couple weeks so let me fill you in on what we've been up to!

Cooper started eating cereal! He wasn't so sure at first, but he's getting better all the time!

PS - Talia, this was his first time having cereal... how cool is that SPOON?!?!!

Loads and loads of laundry. Like I said, I started back to work a couple weeks ago and it's amazing how much laundry can pile up! Going back was hard, but I'm doing better - it's nice to have a break during the day and have "adult" talk!

Cooper learned that he LOVES airplane rides. Crazy kid.

Maybe he's a little narcissistic, but he loves to stare at himself in the mirror! Actually, he makes himself laugh! It's so cute.

I took this picture of Mini Coop yesterday... he did a KILLER impression of Kung Fu Panda! haha

Where has the time gone??!?!

SO it's been 2 weeks since I posted. I know, I'm a slacker. Just a quick update though, I did start back to work last week so it's been absolute madness trying to get adjusted to yet ANOTHER schedule after finally establishing a decent one here at home with the Mini Coop. Anyways, I do have a post brewing, just have to get pictures and so you'll just have to keep checking back for more!

I hope you're all staying warm in the negative degree weather we're having... if you're not in Northern Indiana at the moment, be thankful! Cold is fine & can be tolerable until you hit the point where your boogers freeze everytime you breathe in! That, my friends, is unacceptable.

Ok, maybe I will do a tiny blog... I came across these pictures in my digital photos and was amazed how much Cooper has actually changed since we came home from the hospital! The first picture was taken Sept. 12 (3 days old) and the 2nd one was taken last Saturday at Grandma's house! He's now 4-1/2 months old. I can't believe how fast the time is going...

The Bontrager family Christmas!

On New Years Eve and day we celebrated the Bontrager family Christmas. We had a great time and here are a couple pictures of the madness!!


No we didn't plan it... but here are all the munchkin santas!! We had a great time with these 3 plus Addison. It's going to be absolutely NUTS next year when all four are running...
