Happy Birthday Cooper!

I can't believe our little man is already 2!

We celebrated tonight by introducing Cooper to putt putt golf!! He loved it. LOVED it.

Daddy giving him tips...

Trying to figure out where the ball went...

Got sick of hitting this one and threw it...

Telling me he's 2! He has somewhat of a hard time making a 2, but his first & middle fingers are together - that's his way of telling us :) He's so cute.

Happy Birthday little guy - Mommy & Daddy (& your baby brother or sister) love you!

::Insert deep breath here::

Sooooooo much has happened the last while it's hard to fit it all into one blog... I promise I won't. BUT I do promise to bring you up to speed on what's going on in the Gorsuch family world in a semi-quick nutshell.

Late last year my buddy Jeni left her job to be a stay at home momma {jealous!}... but with that left responsibilities to be taken over at work. I got assigned to take over most of the event coordination of our company's larger corporate events throughout the year, actually 2 in particular. I thought, oh yeah, I can do that. I had been #2 for years, how much different can #1 be? Yeah, let me tell you, it's a whole new ballgame. In charge of 500 people for 3 days?! If you know me, you KNOW it's right down my alley!... just very stressful and at times overwhelming. But long story short, last week I returned from my first major corporate event... it was a success! I've been home 5 days and I'm still pooped. It was a great accomplishment though, to see it from start to finish was VERY fulfilling. Now, onto the next event in September!

On the home front... Cooper got his kitties (as I mentioned a couple blogs back)... their names are Alice & Jasper (and yes, those names are where you think they are from! hah!)... at least we didn't do Bella & Edward {against my will... sigh.}

Here they are - Alice is on the left, Jasper on the right.

Cooper is doing very well with them... he loves them and they are SUCH good kitties! Jasper takes quite the beating, but Cooper is trying to be gentle with them... (emphasis on trying).

Cooper is BFF with his cousin Addison. She loves the kitties too!

And speaking of BFFs... here's Cooper's buddy Alyah! She came over to hang out with us for an afternoon! (oh and Jeni too :) hah!)

My buddy Stacey gave Cooper this AWESOME John Deere pedal tractor... he LOVES it!

Speaking of things Cooper loves, here are some things he's kept himself amused with lately...

Daddy's fishing boat and a scrubbing brush...
Reading his nursery rhymes book before going to bed... {only the BIGGEST book we own... sheesh.}

Getting water-logged right before bedtime over Memorial weekend at the lake house...

Trying out stylish new hair-dos and loving every minute of it...

Grandma Carrie - he had her all to herself for a whole weekend!

Grandpa Ralph

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles...

The night I decided he needed a bath but wasn't ready to go inside so I hosed him down... for an hour... fully clothed... he loved it!

The newest addiction though... the trampoline. He just got a mini version for our basement, but he loooooves Aunt Kim's & Uncle Roger's... we can hardly get him to leave.

He's just too cute.

So now, in a nutshell, you are caught up to what's going on in our lives. There is another blog I'm putting together once I have photos that will highlight our backyard makeover! Let's just say... my husband rocks! Until next time...

A little rewind

So back in March, Matt, Cooper & I headed to Indy for a weekend for a viewing and Matt's mom also flew into town for the weekend as well. With Cooper being so young, we were not able to go to the funeral the day after the viewing, but we did have an afternoon to let him experience the Indy Children's Museum!

He loved the Dino display...

Got to ride his first carousel...

He loved Playscape... a play area for kids under 5! Everything was just his size!

He also went down his first slide!
This, consequently, made up our minds about him being ready for a swing set and have since added one to our backyard!
In the Egypt area, he loved sitting on this goat-looking statue!

Needless to say he was tuckered out and on the way back to the hotel, fell asleep holding "Roger" monkey.

Although the reason for visiting Indy was not ideal, Cooper loved seeing his Grandma Carrie!
And like always, he had a great time playing with "Crazy Mamo" aka Great-Grandma Evelyn

OH I almost forgot... Cooper also learned how super cool he looked in sunglasses!!! :)

A day at the farm

This morning we took Cooper to our friend Debi's house to see her baby kitties and lambs!

He LOVED it!

Trying to get him to pet little Orphan Annie. He had his eyes set on a bigger goal.

Breatrice. This sheep LOVED to be loved. I think she thinks she's a dog. She let Cooper tug her horns, pet her and just love on her. She's expecting babies any day now!
Me & little Orphan Annie. What a sweety! Except for when she got poop on my BUTLER shirt.

Cooper & Beatrice. Again. He loved her.

He loved all the animals! Almost makes me want to get a goat. I love goats {I know, very random right? But have YOU ever had a pet goat? They're awesome.}

Little Orphan Annie even got kisses!

Matt has been wanting to get a kitty for Cooper (outdoor kitty, mind you.) Wouldn't you know it, Debi has 2 that she wants to adopt out. So why get 1 when you can have 2 so they can be friends? But come on, the little black & white one was making dough on my hand! Yes, I know. I'm a TOTAL sucker.

Here is one of our kitties! The other one is all black and fluffy... I couldn't get a good picture of him because their momma is also black, and fluffy. Kind of blended together.

Cooper was trying to feed this little one big kitty food. They are only 3 weeks old, so we will go back in about 4 weeks to see them again! Cooper can't wait!
